Fifty years ago the news that stunned the Nation and the World was:  John Fitzgerald Kennedy, the 35th President of the United States, was assassinated at 12:30 p.m. Central Standard Time on Friday, November 22, 1963, in Dealey Plaza, Dallas, Texas. Kennedy was fatally shot while traveling with his wife Jacqueline, Texas Governor John Connally, and Connally's wife Nellie, in a presidential motorcade.

Do you remember where you were and what you were doing when you heard the New?  If you are over a certain age I bet you do, even the emotions return when you think about it.

Christopher Daley , lives in Wareham Massachusetts by Buzzard's Bay . He is a history teacher in the Silver Lake Regional School System in Kingston. He  was a member Board of Executives and Chairman of the Educational Outreach Program at the John Alden Historic Site in Duxbury  and  has served as the Chairman of the Pembroke Historical Commission and the President of the Pembroke Historical Society. He  received both his Bachelors and  Masters Degrees  from Bridgewater State University. He has written several articles on local history and his new lecture is  "The Kennedy Assassination"   Which will be the, November 13th Lecture.
