The Bourne Historical Society invites the community to pause, reflect, and celebrate the return of the light at the annual Winter Solstice Celebration at Aptucxet. Join us on Saturday, December 21st, from 4 PM to 7 PM at the Museums at Aptucxet, in Bourne.
This yearly gathering offers a warm and peaceful respite from the holiday hustle. Highlights of the evening include:
- Lantern Walk: Grab a lantern and enjoy a serene walk along the lighted path, taking in the beauty of the Aptucxet grounds during this quiet time of year.
- Fireside Gathering: Warm up around the fire as we share stories and honor the ancient human tradition of gathering together on the Solstice.
- Delicious Seasonal Treats: Savor roasted oysters and marshmallows, hearty soups, sweet treats, and spiced hot cider.
- Soft Music and Community Atmosphere: Relax with gentle music and enjoy meaningful conversation with friends and family.
- House of Hope and Regret. At the evening’s close, watch as last year’s troubles are transformed, making way for renewal and hope.
Special Shopping Opportunity:
