Strawberry Festival

The Strawberry Festival is the Bourne Historical Society’s longest running fundraiser. Started in 1972 by Beth Bourne who would lead 4-H students and girl scout troops to pick local strawberries and volunteers from the Society to whip up fresh cream and bake hundreds of fluffy biscuits!

Strawberry Festival at Aptucxet

🍓Thank you for a Berry Wonderful Day! 🍓

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the 54th Annual Strawberry Festival at the Museums at Aptucxet! It was a wonderful day filled with delicious food, music, children’s activities, antique cars, local artisans and visits to our historic buildings.

Together, we served more than 500 strawberry shortcakes! We are especially grateful to the many volunteers who worked so hard to make the festival possible, to musician John Ebersold for keeping us entertained throughout the day, and to the museum staff and Bourne Historical Society Board of Directors for their continued support of this much-loved tradition.

The Strawberry Festival is one of our most important fundraisers of the year. Your participation and generosity help sustain the ongoing work of the Bourne Historical Society and preserve the Museums at Aptucxet for generations to come.

Thank you for celebrating with us. We look forward to seeing you again next year!
