The Strawberry Festival is the Bourne Historical Society’s longest running fundraiser. Started in 1972 by Beth Bourne who would lead 4-H students and girl scout troupes to pick local strawberries.

It’s that time of year… the Annual Strawberry Festival is happening at the Museums at Aptucxet! Bring the whole family down to celebrate the tradition of Strawberry Day, started by Beth Bourne over 50 years ago. Shop around the Craft Fair, tour the grounds & historic buildings, grab lunch at our grill and enjoy a delicious strawberry shortcake right on the Cape Cod Canal! The festival is family-friendly and admission is free for the day. Proceeds and donations go to support the important work of the Bourne Historical Society.
